About Sparkles

I decided to found Sparkles in April 2009. As a consultant and .NET Team Lead for Compuware Belgium in the past, I have worked in several custom development projects in a role as Developer, Technical Architect or Development Lead. My main objectives were always to improve productivity and quality in software development teams where different types of stakeholders were involved.

With the release of Visual Studio Team System 2005 in November 2004, Microsoft announced an integrated application lifecycle management (ALM) product family with tools, processes and guidance that help development teams work more effectively together. Since then, I’ve put a lot of effort in exploring and capturing the opportunities this product would bring in managing the entire software development lifecycle. This resulted in setting up a dedicated blog on Visual Studio Team System (www.intovsts.net) and in April 2009, I was rewarded as a Team System MVP for my contributions to the community. For being able to better support and coach agile development teams I became a Certified Scrum Master in September 2009.

As a User Group Lead of the Visual Studio User Group in Belgium with more than 1200 members, I’m actively looking into different ways to better support the Belgian developer community.

With the start of Sparkles, I want to fully focus on ALM solutions and the purpose is to deliver services for companies who are looking into various ways to improve their software development process with Visual Studio Team System and Team Foundation Server. Next to the specific consultancy services, Sparkles will also provide advanced training courses with international experts on a variety of software development topics.
